Refund policy

1. Try before you buy

Module 1 is free with an account precisely so you can judge the register, depth and assessment style of the programme before paying. We encourage you to complete it before purchasing a certificate.

2. Seven-day cooling-off

Under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 you may cancel a purchase within seven days of payment for a full refund, provided you have not accessed any paid module content and have not started any timed assessment in the paid tier. By accessing paid content or starting a timed assessment within the seven-day period you request and consent to immediate performance of the service, and the cooling-off right falls away.

3. After the cooling-off period

After the seven-day period, or once you have accessed paid content or started a timed assessment in the paid tier, purchases are non-refundable, save to the extent that the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable law compels a refund.

4. How to request a refund

Email perspica@proton.me from your registered address with your payment reference. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method through Payfast, ordinarily within ten business days and in any event within thirty days of cancellation.

5. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 or the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
